Frequently asked questions about Philadelphia Pass
General
When does my Philadelphia Pass® become activated?
Your Philadelphia Pass® activates the day you visit your first attraction and expires at midnight on the last consecutive day.
Is there a limit to how many attractions I can visit in one day?
No. There is no limit at all. You can visit 3 or 30 attractions in one day if you wish-as long as your stamina holds up! Each attraction can be visited just once with the Philadelphia Pass®.
Can I visit the same attraction twice in one day?
Unfortunately, no. You can only visit each attraction once with the Philadelphia Pass®.
I am staying in Philadelphia for one day-can I purchase a 2 day Philadelphia Pass®, use it one day and come back again in 6 months to use the other day I have left?
No. The moment you use your Philadelphia Pass® it becomes activated. Once activated, the card counts down it’s “internal clock” for however long the card’s life is-1, 2, 3, or 5 days.
Do I have to use a multiple day Philadelphia Pass® on consecutive days or can I pick and choose which days I would like to use it?
If you purchase a 3 day Philadelphia Pass® on Monday, use it Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (skipping Wednesday), your card will be invalid on Thursday. Once your card is activated on Monday, the card knows it’s life is for 3 days. Your card will expire at Midnight on Wednesday, making it invalid on Thursday. Please be sure to use your Philadelphia Pass® on consecutive calendar days.
What if I lose my Philadelphia Pass®?
When you receive your Philadelphia Pass® you should immediately sign the back of the card and note the card’s I.D. number on a separate piece of paper for safekeeping. If loss occurs, the Philadelphia Pass® home office can issue you a new one, only if the lost card’s number is provided so we can de-activate the lost card. Please be sure to put the card in a safe place upon receipt.
Can I purchase one Philadelphia Pass® for my friend and I to share at the same attractions?
Since you may only visit each attraction once, this is not possible. If you use your card at an attraction and attempt to pass that same card to your friend to use, the Philadelphia Pass® reader will reject your second attempt and admission will not be granted.
Can I visit the same attraction more than once?
You can visit each attraction just once with the Philadelphia Pass®. However you can visit as many attractions as you want.
If I have a 2, 3 or 5 day Pass, can I ride the Big Bus for the whole time I have the Pass?
The Philadelphia Pass grants you a free 24 hour ticket on the Big Bus tour. You can upgrade your ticket to last the entire length of your Pass for an additional cost. See the Big Bus Company page for more details on the upgrade rates.
